Well, what can I say? All my intentions of “maybe” some New Year’s resolutions have slipped away. That song playing in my head just about sums it up nicely: “busy doing nothing.”
Mind you i fractured several ribs, cartilage displacement & severe muscle damage, that’s on top of hip damage and muscle damage with bruising into the groin area and down to the knee, etc., with six weeks of recuperation, & upwards of ten to twelve weeks before feeling somewhat better…
So now it’s already the end of January, and i have done no detecting this year, although detecting has been sparse, since we moved to this area about three years ago, & i gained a new permission within two weeks & during these couple of years, i have stuck with this one new permission, & the occasional paid excursions, but to do no detecting, it’s bit of a blow…
So not being able to move a lot, let alone walk with a detector I have been studying my new environment, and playing catchup on some great books, as i have now moved away from my old haunts, fields, and general life, i have now got myself settled into a new everything, and I am now eyeing up the possibilities of new farms, land etc… tough times ahead people, very tough, new permissions in an already overcrowded market is going to be extremely hard, especially as my voice is an obvious give away that this is not my home town, but i am a “stranger from the outside” –
Anyway, never mind Toy Story, read Fred’s End Note, from a couple of years ago, for some gold envy…
I will now, for the umpteenth time, try and keep this going for a while, with some hopefully good news on the permission front, & trying to rebuild an office or “my space” in the garage, hopefully a lot bigger than my old space, i have removed a lot of old posts, stories & updated a lot of research…
